About

Stafford Family Counseling (SFC) is the largest private outpatient psychological practice in Stafford County. SFC has over a dozen licensed clinicians practicing in our office. Here at SFC, patients of all ages and ranges of difficulty are seen.

Specialty programs in addition to the expected individual, couples and family counseling are offered. These programs include a state licensed supportive in-home program for providing instruction in daily living skills and promoting the welfare of the chronic psychiatrically disordered (Virginia Support Services, P.C.). Another specialty program is a state licensed intensive in-home program for children and adolescents (Virginia Home Based Counseling, P.C.). These programs have over 40 clinicians and are funded through Medicaid and local government funds, e.g., FAPT teams. Finally, SFC offers a social skills program for children and teens (Social Achievers) and an Anger Management program.

Billing

Payment is expected at the time services are rendered if you are not covered under a health insurance plan. Co-pays are collected when you check in for your visit and must be paid at that time. SFC has individual and facility contracts with all major and many lesser insurance companies, including but not limited to the following:

Referrals

Psychiatric referrals can be made should your treatment require medication management. Your clinician can offer a referral within or external to the practice.
